COMU1030 – Communication Skills: Spoken Language & Interpersonal 31.3

The content is common sense and boring to learn. The group assignment depends entirely on who you got in your group and how well they can speak publicly because everyone receives the same grade regardless of how good/bad their individual presentation skills are. The essay is easy but it’s pointless as you’ve already done 5 reflections that essentially say the same thing as you write in the essay. They also don’t go over how to write a reflective essay and give no guidance on this component.

COMU1030 – Communication Skills: Spoken Language & Interpersonal 36.0

By far the most boring and least intellectually stimulating course I've ever taken. Nothing about the content is in any way useful nor relevant to anything. There are long, activity-filled tutorials that seem entirely pointless (but thankfully short lectures) and the group project is easy but mind-numbingly boring. The final exam in multiple choice and almost entirely common sense, but the assignments do require you to look up the theory, but thankfully they're quite simple (also if you have the textbook you practically don't need to do any research at all).

COMU1030 – Communication Skills: Spoken Language & Interpersonal 24.9

I am midway through this course and it is horrible. The course content is basic, the lectures are boring and worthless and the tutorials remind me of primary school team-building exercises. The subject is founded on group work where each member of the team is awarded the same grade regardless of their input. This course desperately needs to be removed or significantly improved.

COMU1030 – Communication Skills: Spoken Language & Interpersonal 47.9

Really, really easy course. I got a high distinction and I only went to 2 lectures. The tutorials are repetitive and the activities are quite useless. Most of what you learn is just common sense. I skimmed the textbook because they say that a lot of what is in the exam will be from the textbook.

COMU1030 – Communication Skills: Spoken Language & Interpersonal 61.4

Easy course with short lectures but long tutorials. Tutorials involve 'fun' group activities. Textbook entirely unnecessary, and frankly you'll probably survive on the bare minimum of lecture attendance/recordings. Final is a breeze - practically everything is common sense and it's all multiple choice. Only real downside is the assignment - a group presentation and a 'self-reflection of group work'. Both are simple enough, but the content can be infuriatingly boring/useless.
